I’m pretty sure most communes open their arms to anyone who is willing to abide by the general ideals and way of life of that particular commune.
Your best bet on finding any intentional communities, would be to look here.
As for your second question. I think if you can provide the child with everything necessary to bring it up happily and healthily whilst living in these situations, i don’t see why not. Go for your life.
