This blog is dedicated to the hippie in all of us.

A collection of bare feet, sex, drugs, nature, music, community, all things psychedelic, beautiful people and beautiful minds. Brothers and sisters from all walks of life.

A trip back into the communes and concerts of the 60's and 70's and a glance at the gatherings, protests, doofs and parties now and in between.

Feel free to speak your mind here. Let your freak flag fly.

Peace, Love and Harmony.

I’m not sure about any that are ‘open’ for random visits.

Any followers have any insight?

Anonymous said: that is beautiful. the way people should be living. thank you <3

Everyone helping and contributing is the way people should live, you’re right!

You’re very welcome! <3

Anonymous said: and its always there? you can live there for as long as you live? im like amazed right now

Mostly. Sometimes communes close due to unforseen problems, but be assured there are many more always forming in its place.

If you get along well with the people you’re living with, you can usually stay as long as you like.

Intentional communities have been around for years and it can be a very eco-friendly way to live. :)

Anonymous said: so everyone lives together? it the government doesnt even try to get rid of it or anything? that is amazing

Essentially. :)

Anonymous said: just out of curiosity because i want to go to one bt what do you do at communes?

You live!

You can grow and produce your own food, share household duties and chores, contribute equally and share amongst each other.

You live together with a bunch of like-minded people. That’s all there is to it really.

As the dictionary puts it:

whimsicalbeautiful said: Do you know of any communes in Colorado? I am sure there are tons. How do you become a part of a commune?

I personally don’t know where any particular communes are but I’ll give you the same answer i give everyone else that asks about finding a commune…

This site has an extensive list of forming and established communes. There is a search function that you can use to make finding this easier.

Go forth and search! I hope you find something that takes your fancy!

Anonymous said: I need to know where communes are at in the UK? I've been contemplating freetown christania in Denmark but would love to be part of the revolution! All help is greatly appreciated, peace+love to you all x

I believe you’ll find a good list here. It’s a start, anyway.

Anonymous said: Can anyone tell me how to get into the hippie community, share their experiences. I don't want a job or to go to school. I want to experience peace and love wth people just like me but I don't know what to do.

Can anyone shed some light?

Also, you may not want a job, but don’t be fooled into thinking hard work isn’t involved.

Anonymous said: This is to fellow "frustrated and fifteen" anon I saw on your blog earlier. I feel the exact same way. Except, Canada is a much more awesome place to be! For example, Vancouver Island has a TONNE of communes and in fact, is somewhere I want to go. This is not only to anon but to all you of my lovers; all the square bolts in the round holes. DON'T BREAK. Don't fray your corners. Stay strong. Eventually, they'll stop shoving. I wish to meet you all. But for now, will do with an imaginary hug *.*

Followers?

Anonymous said: I don't want to ask something. I just want to say, I love this site. Sometimes I know the reason to have a big ugly laptop. And to the people who are looking for communes like this (I am too! Amsterdam?) go to Burning Man, or better BOOMfestival. There are hippies like this. Sometimes. Peace.
